A good use of my lunch break. Writing #wetheghosts many times on the note pads at #typo :)

It’s going to be a good weekend
Friends over for dinner and boardgames tonight, yay.
I made Nana’s baked cheesecake, I want to eat it now.
Alex has a quiet weekend, which is super rare, so I will get to see him a fair bit.
Then there is Church, work and study. It is going to be a good weekend.
About to make Nana’s cheesecake and I find the lemon’s are not in the same condition as I felt them in last night.
Dead-set my favourite movie when I was little.
You’re red again! Yay!
Not entirely on purpose, but yes. One of my work friends used to be a hair dresser. She dyed it in early March, and it was hardly red, but when I went over the other night she told me that she picked a different colour and it resulted in this. This will probably be my hair for a while - seeing as I can’t have purple hair :(

Being dedicated to your chosen profession means working long days, having showers at 11.30pm, and staying up past midnight to get work done that you are not getting paid for. Good thing I have my $5 Walmart jumper and a leopard print hot water bottle to keep me company into the early hours of the morn.

Coffee & Cases.: Was thinking about the law school culture of perfectionism and subsequent stress when I found this. ›
Professional support without love will often seem empty. Lawyers have to learn to be kind to themselves. To love themselves; and I am not referring to conceit. To find enjoyment and peace in their lives. Not be overly critical after a less than glorious day in the office or in court. Law schools and legal venues are often stressful places. Somehow, a lawyer must learn to cope. And to accept occasional failures and imperfections which are a mark of human existence. Getting the right work/life balance is important for every lawyer. Coping with stress and disappointment, even sometimes depression, is necessary. There is always help at hand as in Beyond Blue or the Tristan Jepson Foundation. And the best help, if you can find it, is often a companion who laughs at the pretentions of the law; at all the gossip and the infighting. Making these personal life choices correctly is a big key to success and happiness in our profession.

Exactly what I needed to read after getting home from the law firm at 7.30pm to meet a night of editing 6000 words of meeting minutes, and two lots of tutorial prep for tomorrow.
I love my job, I love my degree, but it can be very stressful.
